The subdivision of land owned by F B Anschau formerly known as Anchau’s Paddock located on the southern bank of South Creek was known as the Anchau Estate and the blocks were auctioned by the joint auctioneers N G Baur and by Brinsley Hall Auctioneers and Estate Agents on Saturday 20 June 1936.
Blocks in the subdivision were advertised to be mostly 60 feet frontage with depths ranging from 120 to 160 feet. A feature of the subdivision was a ’turn table’ drive at the end of Ross Street and a 12 foot path enabling residents to have a ‘short cut’ to the town of Windsor.
