Memorial to Windsor Soldiers. The public meeting convened by the Mayor to consider the matter of erecting a lasting memorial to two Windsor “boys” who recently died in South Africa - viz, Farrier-Sergeant George J Dickson and trooper John C Gosper - was largely attended, there being over 100 persons present…’ The motion was passed that ‘subscription lists be opened for the purpose of erecting a memorial to the late Farrier Sergeant Dickson and trooper Gosper.’
