Excerpt from newspaper article
‘There has just been launched on the Colo River, a new ‘floating store’ for Messrs Cameron and Macnamara, the well-known shopkeepers, of Wiseman’s ferry. The new vessel is intended to replace the Capertaine, whose days have been numbered - a natural sequence to a long and arduous career of usefulness. The new vessel has been named Camac, which will at once be recognised as a happy combination of the first syllables of the names of the members of the firm who owns her; and it is a remarkable coincidence that the name spells the same backwards as frontwards’.
