Hawkesbury People & Places Opening of Colo Heights Public Hall which was built by the local community and opened by the President of Colo Shire Council, Cr R B Turnbull. The President of the hall committee, Mr A G Turner thanked the council for their loan of funds to construct the building. The nice appearance of the hall was due to the building knowledge of Mr Turner. Thanks were made to the Colo Heights Progress Association, the Colo Heights Ladies Club, Mr H R King of Ebenezer, Halton Bros of Howes Valley and Alf Ducros of Putty. Report of opening includes photograph of hall with children and teacher, Mr P Geldart from Colo Heights Public School. Secretary of the hall committee was Mr H A Eley. The evening included a social dance with M C Mr Bruce Gotts and Mr George Bodiam providing the music. Please make your comment below.
