Hawkesbury People & Places Coromandel property is located at 665 Sackville Road, Ebenezer, New South Wales with access also from Wymarks Lane. The property was part of William Hall’s grant of 1280 acres in 1837 known as Stannix Park. Under the ownership of Matthew Everingham, a portion amounting to 265 acres was sold off to William Hall Johnston in 1865. The land remained in Johnston’s ownership until he died in 1897. The property was then inherited by members of the Brown family. The stonework has been attributed as the work of Stephens Bros of Ebenezer who was responsible for the construction of many of the stone houses of the district. The small detached stone cottage with attic may be the earlier of the two buildings. In the early 20th century this property was the home of Matthew Smith Hall and his wife Eleanor Vera Hall (nee Brown) and in later years by Charles and Marjorie Wymark.
