Hawkesbury People & Places Elouera Cottage is located at 33 Macquarie Street, corner of Kable Street, Windsor, New South Wales. This charming timber cottage was built in the late Victorian style including projecting bay window and front door with transom light. The adjacent commercial premises were constructed in the 1940s of Clark’s Concrete Bricks which were manufactured near Richmond by Bill Clark of Kurmond. The charming cottage known as Elouera on the corner of Kable and Macquarie Streets, Windsor. Cathy McHardy January 2023 In September 1893, local businessman Daniel Mayne (Dan) purchased the block of land on the corner of Kable and Macquarie Streets, Windsor for the sum of £165 from the estate of the late George Loder. The adjacent land in Macquarie Street which went through to George Street was sold to Daniel Holland for £920. In April 1894, Mr (Charlie) Sheen, a local builder commenced the construction of a weatherboard cottage on Dan Mayne’s corner block.
