Reach of the river near Lower Portland.
A reach of the Hawkesbury extending upstream from the Colo confluence. Probably named to honour William Frederick, second Duke of Gloucester (1776-1834). He entered the army as a colonel in 1789 and was made field-marshall in 1816.
