Hawkesbury People & Places Grose Wold Provisional School (part of Portion 241, Parish of Kurrajong, County of Cook, purchased March 1903) operated from July 1902 until April 1928, and reopened as a public school from January 1964 until closure in December 1976. A new school known as Grose View Public School opened in January 1977 replacing both Grose Vale and Grose Wold Public Schools. Original buildings used as a communty centre for many years but was sold in 2005 by Hawkesbury City Council and is now a private home and art gallery. ‘Tenders for the removal of the school building from South Kurrajong, and its re-erection at Grosewold, close on Thursday next, 27th inst.’ Please make your comment below.
