Kurrajong Heights Post Office opened on 1 March 1875. The post office was located on Bells Line of Road adjacent to St David’s Uniting Church within the general store building when it closed its doors in June 1995 due to falling revenue and decreasing numbers of customers.
According to the Hawkesbury Gazette on 28 June 1995 (page 11) the local area manager for Australia Post, David Howell stated that “Kurrajong Heights has a very small retail area and there are just not sufficient people using the post office to warrant its continued operation”.
