Mr Lloyd Turnbull in charge of Leet’s Vale school formerly pupil teacher at Freeman’s Reach school. He was presented with a pair of gold sleeve links when he visited the Freeman’s Reach Tennis Club recently.
Operated as a half-time school with Wisemans Ferry from May 1874 until April 1881, then as a public school from April 1881 until May 1894, then as a half-time school with Maroota (2) from July 1894 until April 1896, then as a public school from May 1896 until September 1925, again as a half-time school with Maroota (2) from June 1926 until June 1934, then as a public school from July 1946 until closure in May 1954. The school was known as Australian Farm from opening until February 1915 when it was renamed Leets Vale.
