McMahon's Cottage

Hawkesbury City Council supported the request by the ‘Friends of the Australiana Village’ to move the cottage from Freemans Reach to the Australiana Pioneer Village, at Wilberforce rather than have the building demolished. A new two-storey house had been built behind the cottage and council procedures required the demolision of existing houses under the development consent. The cottage was built for the McMahon family who farmed land near ‘The Breakaway’.
