This reserve is located in Lower Colo Road on the bank of the Colo River at Central Colo, New South Wales across the road from Colo Park Reserve. The reserve is part of land described as Portion 123 Parish of Meehan, County of Cook granted to William Moran. The high level concrete Colo River Bridge crosses the river at this point.
William Moran was born at Colo on the 17 March 1842 and died on the 13 June 1918. His obituary appeared in The Leader newspaper in the district of Orange, NSW on the 8 July 1918.
The reserve includes the War Memorial plaques for the Colo district commemorating both World War One and Two. Details of the names inscribed on the memorials may be found on Hawkesbury on the Net
