Newtown Police Residence

‘Some time ago Mr Thos Primrose J P , represented to police authorities that the residents over the line from Windsor, at Newtown, were entitled to a resident policeman. After consideration the authorities have acceded to the request, and, we understand, Constable Taaffe will take up his residence at the end of the month. Sneak thieves had better drop their little game, unless they want to get into the clutches of this stalwart officer. We have since learned that Alderman C F Taylor was a prominent worker in this matter.’
