Bridge which crosses the Macdonald River at the village of St Albans. It was constructed in 1902 and opened for traffic 27 June 1903, Engineer was Ernest Macartney de Burgh, one of the few surviving timber 2 span truss bridges of its type in NSW, recognised by the RTA and Institution of Engineers, Australia in a plaquing ceremony June 2003, named after John Norton, NSW State member for Northumberland who promised a new bridge for the village on his visit in 1899, replaced old timber bridge which was constructed in 1883/4 which was a short distance upstream from Norton Bridge and was damaged by flooding in 1889.
