Hawkesbury People & Places Owen Frederick Earle born Clyde, Victoria May 1933, died 15 September 2004. Had a long and distinguished career as a surveyor with Ryde Municipal Council, Colo Shire Council and Hawkesbury City Council. Member of many community organisations including the SES and Rural Fire Service. Active in local sport including tennis and cricket. Member and player of Freemans Reach Cricket Club, Hawkesbury District Cricket Association and member of NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association for seven years. Awarded the 1989 Australia Day Citizen of the Year for Hawkesbury.
