Mr J G Percival’s butter factory is in full swing, supplies of milk greatly increased, demand for butter and ice cream is greater than supply.
‘The average supply of milk at Mr Percival’s factory during the month ending December 31 was 140 gallons daily, and suppliers were paid 3 and a quarter pence per gallon. The supply is now only 80 gallons daily, whilst this time last year it was 300 gallons. Mr Percival is turning out about 5cwt of ice daily which finds a ready market. Mr Charlie Saunders formerly a student at H A College, has been working with Mr Percival for some time, but left this week. Charlie was very popular’.
