Located in Wellesley Street, the Pitt Town War Memorial Park is dedicated to all the fallen of Pitt Town. In 1946, the land which had been in the Hobbs family for three generations was donated to Windsor Municipal Council by Mrs Eliza Brown, an aunt of Joseph Hobbs, for a children`s playground.
The entrance gates commemorate those from Pitt Town who have given their lives in various world conflicts especially Joseph Edward Hobbs who died on the Burma Railway on 3 November 1943. He is buried in Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, Plot A16, Row D, Grave 2.
Listed as Memorial Park, Pitt Town, located in Wellesley Street and Bathurst Street.
