The property known as ’Reiby Farm’ is located off West Portland Road, Lower Portland, New South Wales on a peninsula on the Colo River, just upstream from its confluence with the Hawkesbury River. The 100 acre block of land described as Portion 48, Parish of Meehan, County of Cook was granted to Peter Hibbs in 1804. In May 1816 the farm and all of Hibbs’ assets were offered for sale as he was heavily in debt.
