‘Work on the new greyhound track at Londonderry is ahead of schedule.
Mr J D Baillee, secretary of Richmond Race Club, said last week that special turf had been transported from the Newcastle area by semi-trailers and planted on the track.
Mr Baillee said trials are expected to take place on the new track during the first week of December and the initial race meeting a week or two later.
The next trotting meeting is in March 1969.’
