Robert's Butchery Shop

‘On Saturday night a fire broke out at Mr A J Roberts’ Butcher’s shop at Kurrajong, and the building and contents valued at ?200, were completely destroyed. Some Indian hawkers, who were camped close by, saw the fire first and rendered great assistance in trying to subdue the flames. The property was uninsured, and the loss to Mr Roberts is a heavy one. How the fire originated is a mystery’.
