Also known as Sutton Cottage, Sefton Cottage was initially the home of Rev Robert Cartwright, and was reputed to be located within a mile of the centre of Windsor, New South Wales. The exact location of the cottage is unknown, however in 1813 Cartwright rented a farm on high land near the modern Percival Street, Richmond overlooking Cornwallis and the town of Windsor.
Cartwright and his family then occupied a parsonage also near Windsor, however the location of this dwelling is also unknown.
