Hawkesbury People & Places Strang Place is a street located in the suburb of Bligh Park, New South Wales. Stage One of Bligh Park Development opened December 1985 with 450 Lots, then 1987 with 216 Lots. The subvivision was a joint venture between Hawkesbury Shire Council and NSW Department of Housing. The area was formerly 200 hectares of Crown land encompassing the Rifle Range and Temporary Common. Street names in the suburb were selected from different themes such as the ships in the First Fleet which brought British convicts to NSW in 1788, names of prominent Windsor citizens of the 19th century and names of the principals of Windsor Public School. Thomas Place was named after Thomas Strang who was the Principal in the mid 1930s. Nearby Strang Place is Thomas Place. At the end of Strang Place is the Strang Place Reserve through which a pathway joins another reserve behind Youl Place. Please make your comment below.
