On April 15th, at the residence of the bridegroom’s brother, Mr. Lawson Caterson, Balmain, the marriage of Eva, youngest daughter of Mr. John Newell, of ‘Wheeney Farm’ Central Colo, to Clyde A. Caterson, sixth son of Mr. Thos. Caterson, of ‘The Cedars’ Upper Colo,was celebrated by the Rev. Mr. Blair,of Balmain. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very becoming dress of soft grey amazon cloth, the skirt prettily trimmed with bands of velvet of a darker shade. The pretty Kimona bodice was also trimmed with bands of the velvet and fine net guipure lace…. A very pretty but quiet wedding was solemnized at the C. E. Church, Upper Colo, on 10th November, when Miss Jane Hilda Caterson, only daughter of Mr Thomas Caterson, ‘The Cedars’ Upper Colo, was united in holy bonds of matrimony to Mr Wilfred A. Gosper, second son of Mr Benjamin Gosper, of ‘Datetree Cottage’ Upper Colo. The officiating clergyman was Rev. Henry Tate, of St. Stephen’s, Kurrajong. The church was prettily decorated with ferns and flowers, and a handsome wedding bell, made by the mother and sisters of the bridegroom, hung immediately over the altar rails. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, and looked charming in a gown of ivory white silk, bodice trimmed with silk net allover lace, wide tucks, and silk lace edging. The skirt was tucked and ornamented with truelover’s knots worked in ribbon and sprays of orange blossoms… Please make your comment below.
