Hawkesbury People & Places Ulitedinburra Lodge was the home of Andrew and Sophia Doyle from before 1809 and was located at Portland Head. The property was sold out of the Doyle family in 1910. The Doyle’s also built ‘Dargle’ at Lower Portland in 1829. The Doyles were buried at Ulitedinburra Lodge but the remains and tomb were relocated to St Matthew’s Church of England Cemetery, Windsor when the property was sold. Barbara Mulligan has added a couple of pages to a family history website outlining the Doyle family of Ulitedinburra Lodge and Dargle at Lower Portland and elsewhere in the area on the Hawkesbury River. If there are other descendants out there, please get in touch with Barbara as she is happy to consider additions, corrections, deletions to the website.
