Hawkesbury People & Places Wallambyne (also spelt Wallambine) is a locality to the north of St Albans, New South Wales and is situated on Wallambine Creek. Wallambyne Public School operated as a half-time school with Macdonald Higher from October 1882 until February 1894, then as a provisional school from March 1894 until June 1896, then as a public school from July 1896 until April 1909, then as a half-time school with Macdonald Higher from May 1911 until October 1911, again as a provisional school from May 1923 until December 1934 and from January 1937 until closure in October 1945. Location of Wallambine (Wallambyne) Public School, New South Wales on the road from St Albans to Wollombi which follows Wallambine Creek. The site, Portion 15 was an area of 2 acres which was dedicated for the school on the 25 October 1892.
