Windsor Military Barracks
Government building
Located near the corner of Bridge and Court Street, Windsor. Site now (2005) occupied by Windsor Police Station.

‘Mr L Pickup, with the assistance of the police, took up the floor of the stables at the barracks this week and put down new concrete. This building is one of the oldest in the district, and one of the most substantial’.

A new military barracks was commenced in July 1817 and finished in June 1818.

The Windsor Military Barracks were built in 1818 under the orders of Governor Macquarie.
