Contractor Crimson and his men, made good progress in the construction of the police station, etc less than two months now will see the work completed, and the bulding will be a great addition to our hamlet, putting every other bulding quite in the shade.

The new police station and court house at Wiseman’s Ferry is expected to be completed in about three weeks time, when a big banquet is to be held to commemorate the opening. It is a great pity the authorities didn’t place the building on top of the ground instead of excavating a mine to build it in, as it now has a very squat appearance.
