Hawkesbury People & Places Woodbury Reserve is located in Glossodia, New South Wales and contains a sports field, areas of bushland, a large dam and bike tracks. there is also a scate ramp, playgroud, amenities and picnic shelter. The park may be accessed from Kentucky Drive and Spinks Road with a pedestrian access from behind the Glossodia Shopping Centre. It comprises Lots 457, 464, and 514 in DP 214756. The reserve was created when the surrounding land was subdivided in May 1963 to create the town of Glossodia. Hawkesbury City Council is drafting a Plan of Management and Landscape Masterplan (2021) for the reserve. Read more about the masterplans. Woodbury Reserve is a large district park owned and managed by Hawkesbury City Council. The reserve is made up of 3 contiguous land parcels which is bordered by Kentucky Drive to the north and west, Golden Valley Drive to the East and Spinks Road to the north. Woodbury Reserve would have originally been bushland which is located within the Country of the Darug peoples. Known locally as ’the 40 acres’, the reserve is located adjoining semi-rural privately owned land, Glossodia Public School, Community Centre, Glossodia Rural Fire Service and Glossodia shops.
