Cecil John (Jack) Gow

Cecil John Gow, usually known as Jack, was born in Windsor in 1916, the son of Cecil Bertram Gow and Alice Maud Ansell. He married Coral Jane Wilbow in Windsor in 1941. Gow joined the staff of William Walker & Son, a firm of Windsor solicitors prior to becoming a clerk with Windsor Municipal Council. For many years he held the position of Deputy Town Clerk. Jack Gow was also an active and popular member of the local community, serving as President of the Rotary Club of Windsor in the 1963-64 year. He died on the 12 May 1982 aged 66 years and his remains were interred in the columbarium at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Windsor, New South Wales.
